Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 15, 2025

At flickercharge, we handle sensitive financial data powered by machine learning algorithms. This means your privacy isn't just important—it's fundamental to everything we do. This policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and manage your personal information when you interact with our services in Thailand and beyond.

Information We Collect

Running machine learning models on financial data requires specific information to deliver accurate insights. Here's what we collect and why it matters.

Data You Provide Directly

When you create an account or use our platform, you share information with us:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and company details when you register
  • Financial Data: Transaction records, account balances, and financial statements you upload for analysis
  • Communication Data: Messages you send through our support channels or feedback forms
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed through secure third-party payment providers

Data We Collect Automatically

Our systems gather technical information to improve performance and security:

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on platform, and interaction patterns
  • Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
  • Log Data: Access times, error reports, and system performance metrics
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: Session data and preference settings (see our Cookie Policy for details)

Thailand-Specific Data Handling: We comply with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) which governs how businesses handle personal information. Your data stored on servers within Thailand receives additional protections under local regulations.

How We Use Your Information

Machine learning needs data to work effectively. But we're selective about how we use yours. Every piece of information serves a specific purpose.

Primary Uses

  • Service Delivery: Processing your financial data through our ML algorithms to generate insights and predictions
  • Account Management: Maintaining your profile, preferences, and subscription status
  • Platform Improvement: Training models, fixing bugs, and developing new analytical features
  • Security: Detecting fraud, preventing unauthorized access, and protecting against cyber threats
  • Communication: Sending service updates, technical notifications, and responding to your inquiries
  • Compliance: Meeting legal obligations under Thai financial regulations and international standards

Analytical Processing

Our machine learning models analyze patterns in aggregated, anonymized data to improve prediction accuracy. Your individual financial information stays separate from this training process—we use statistical representations, not your actual account details.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We don't sell your data. Period. But running a financial technology platform means working with trusted partners. Here's who sees what and why.

Service Providers We Work With

Provider Type Purpose Data Shared
Cloud Infrastructure Data storage and processing Encrypted financial data, usage logs
Payment Processors Billing and subscriptions Payment details, transaction history
Analytics Tools Platform performance monitoring Anonymized usage patterns
Security Services Threat detection and prevention Access logs, IP addresses

Legal Disclosure Requirements

We may share information when required by law or to protect our rights:

  • Responding to valid legal requests from Thai authorities or international agencies
  • Enforcing our terms of service or investigating policy violations
  • Protecting the safety and security of our users and platform
  • Complying with financial reporting obligations and regulatory audits

Data Processing Agreements: Every third-party partner signs strict data processing agreements that limit how they can use your information. They can't repurpose your data for their own marketing or sell it to others.

Your Privacy Rights

Under both Thai PDPA and international privacy standards, you control your personal information. These aren't just theoretical rights—we've built systems to make them practical.

Access Your Data

Request a copy of all personal information we hold about you. We'll provide it in a readable format within 30 days.

Correct Inaccuracies

Update or fix incorrect information directly through your account settings or by contacting our team.

Delete Your Data

Request complete deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.

Restrict Processing

Limit how we use your data while maintaining your account for specific purposes you approve.

Data Portability

Receive your data in a structured format that you can transfer to another service provider.

Object to Processing

Opt out of certain data uses like marketing communications while continuing to use core services.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Send requests to info@flickercharge.com with "Privacy Rights Request" in the subject line. Include your account email and specify which right you want to exercise. We'll verify your identity and respond within 30 days. Some requests may take longer for complex data exports—we'll keep you updated throughout the process.

Data Security and Protection

Financial data attracts attention from bad actors. We've implemented multiple security layers to keep your information safe from unauthorized access, breaches, and misuse.

Technical Safeguards

  • Encryption: AES-256 encryption for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit
  • Access Controls: Role-based permissions ensuring employees only see data necessary for their work
  • Authentication: Multi-factor authentication required for account access and administrative functions
  • Network Security: Firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular penetration testing
  • Secure Development: Code reviews, vulnerability scanning, and security-focused deployment practices

Organizational Measures

Technology alone isn't enough. Our team follows strict protocols:

  • Background checks for all employees with data access
  • Regular security training and phishing awareness programs
  • Incident response plans tested quarterly
  • Annual third-party security audits
  • Confidentiality agreements with all staff and contractors

Breach Notification: If a security incident affects your data, we'll notify you within 72 hours as required by Thai law. You'll receive details about what happened, what data was involved, and steps we're taking to address the situation.

Data Retention and Deletion

We don't keep your data forever. Storage periods depend on legal requirements, business needs, and the type of information involved.

Retention Periods

  • Active Account Data: Maintained while your account remains active and for 90 days after closure
  • Financial Records: Retained for 7 years to comply with Thai accounting and tax regulations
  • Transaction Logs: Kept for 5 years for audit and regulatory purposes
  • Marketing Communications: Stored until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days
  • Security Logs: Maintained for 2 years to support fraud investigations and system monitoring
  • Backup Data: Automatically deleted when regular backups cycle out (typically 90 days)

Deletion Process

When you close your account, we begin permanent deletion of data not subject to legal holds. Financial transaction records remain in archived form to meet regulatory requirements, but all identifying details are removed from active systems. Machine learning models trained on your data can't be "untrained," but we ensure anonymization prevents reconstruction of your original information.

International Data Transfers

Our cloud infrastructure spans multiple countries to ensure reliability and performance. This means your data might physically reside outside Thailand, though it always remains under our protection.

Transfer Safeguards

When data crosses borders, we implement additional protections:

  • Standard contractual clauses approved by Thai and international regulators
  • Data processing agreements with all international service providers
  • Encryption during transfer and at rest in all locations
  • Regular audits of overseas data centers and security practices
  • Geographic restrictions limiting where certain sensitive data can be processed

Most customer data stays within Thailand or Singapore data centers to minimize latency and maintain regulatory compliance. Machine learning model training may use overseas compute resources, but only with anonymized, aggregated datasets that can't be traced back to individual accounts.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tools to make the platform work properly and understand how people use it. You control most of these through your browser settings.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential Cookies: Required for login, security, and basic functionality—you can't disable these and still use the platform
  • Performance Cookies: Help us understand which features get used and where people encounter problems
  • Preference Cookies: Remember your settings like language choice and dashboard layout
  • Analytics Cookies: Track anonymized usage patterns to improve our machine learning models

You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie preference center. Keep in mind that some features might not work properly without performance and preference cookies enabled.

Children's Privacy

flickercharge is designed for business users and financial professionals. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years old. If you discover that a minor has created an account, contact us immediately at info@flickercharge.com so we can delete their information.

Changes to This Policy

Privacy regulations evolve and our services change. When we update this policy, we'll post the new version with a revised effective date. Significant changes get announced via email to all active users at least 30 days before taking effect.

Continuing to use flickercharge after policy updates means you accept the new terms. If you disagree with changes, you can close your account before they become effective.
